RV Pre-Departure Checklist

Interior

  • All seven drawer latches are depressed.
  • Refrigerator latches (2) are engaged.
  • Refrigerator is set for battery (optional).
  • Green switch for fridge is on (optional).
  • Loose items are stowed and secured.
  • Roof vents (2) are retracted and locked.
  • Windows (3) are fully shut and latched.
  • Bathroom door is shut.
  • Alde is turned off.

Exterior Walkaround

  • All four stabilizer jacks are retracted.
  • Propane is turned off.
  • Step up is stowed.
  • Door is locked.

Connections

  • Shore power disconnected and stowed.
  • Grey/Black water discharge cover in place.
  • City water disconnected and stowed.
  • Water manifold is set for “Dry Camping.”

Covers

  • Red Bin #1 is latched and locked.
  • Red Bin #2 is latched and locked.
  • Center Bin is latched.
  • Heat pump cover is removed.
  • Side storage cover is latched.
  • Water manifold cover is latched.

Hooking up

  • Hitch is latched with clip in place.
  • 7-pin connector is locked in place.
  • Chains are crossed and locked in place.
  • Breakaway cable is connected.
  • Trailer tire boot lock is removed.
  • Wheel chocks (2) are removed.
  • Tongue jack is fully retracted.
  • Antisway bar is installed and pinned.
  • Towing mirrors are mounted and adjusted.
  • Lights are tested.
  • Remote Tire Pressure Sensor is on.
  • FINAL WALK AROUND

T@B 400 Arrival Procedure

  • 1.     Remove the antisway bar before backing.
  • 2.     Check level left to right. Correct as needed with leveler system.
  • 3.     Set the tow vehicle parking brake.
  • 4.     Chock both trailer wheels, ahead and behind wheels.
  • 5.     Partially lower tongue jack. Mount the front wheel to the jack. Install the wheel pin.
  • 6.     Lower the tongue jack until the wheel engages with the ground.
  • 7.     Chock the tongue jack wheel with the chain line.
  • 8.     Remove hitch latch clip pin. Pull the coupler back to release the ball hitch when lifting.
  • 9.     Extend the tongue jack and lift the tongue off the ball.
  • 10.   Remove the safety chains, breakaway lanyard, and 7-pin connector.
  • 11.   Verify clear, then move the tow vehicle forward to clear the tongue.
  • 12.   Raise/lower the tongue jack to level the trailer front to back.
  • 13.   Set the jack pads and extend all four stabilizer jacks.
  • 14.   Connect to shore power using EMS surge protector.
  • 16.   Connect to city water. Spiggot => pressure reducer => Y-connector => filter => hose.
  • 15.   Open the propane valve.
  • 16.   Install hitch lock and trailer tire boot lock.
